The Primo Collection is a LIMITED EDITION offering for 2025 featuring exclusive, vintage inspired designs. We make each Primo product from premium Horween® leathers, tanned in Chicago since 1905. The edges are stained and polished by hand and all stress points are secured with solid copper hand-set rivets.The entire collection is made 100%, start to finish, in our San Diego, California factory.

The No.277 Primo Crossbody
The No.277 is sleek and functional carry case that is A5 notebook compatible with a main top opening, front flap pocket and a back key-locking travel & CCW pocket. The full-length shoulder strap can be removed for hand-carry with the top heavy latigo leather handle. A lightweight, functional and vintage inspired design.

Horween® Natural ® | Derby Steerhide & Natural Horsehide (Limited Edition x10 July 2025)
This version is made from two premium Horween® natural veg-tanned leathers. The base leather is Horween® Derby Steerhide in a 5/6oz. weight. Derby is 100% vegetable tanned infused with a rich blend of waxes and tumbled to emphasize the natural highs and lows in the leather. The trim and straps are cut from Horween® natural, veg-tanned horsehide strips, one of the toughest and section of the horsehide.
They are lined with a 12oz. waxed cotton canvas (made in Scotland) and finished with solid copper rivets and brass hardware. Read more about the leather details in the tab below title "THE LEATHER".

This product is a Seasonal or Limited Edition item that is not always available. Our production runs for Limited Edition products are generally from 5-20 units, so they are quite small and very special. In most cases they are exclusively available on our website unless otherwise noted.

This product was proudly designed, cut and sewn in our San Diego, California leather shop. It has been built entirely by our employees 100% (start to finish), in our own factory. We don’t “partially assemble” our products in another country then label them MADE IN USA. In respect to all the American manufacturers over the last century, we do it the right way, honest and true American manufacturing.

The Leather

Base leather made from Horween® Derby Steerhide in a 5/6oz. weight. Derby is 100% vegetable tanned infused with a rich blend of waxes and tumbled to emphasize the natural highs and lows in the leather. The leather is highly distressed and exhibits a rugged appearance as a result of the tumbling process. Derby exhibits great tonality with a rich pull up and will age beautifully by developing a rich patina.

Both leathers are produced in the the world-renown Horween tannery in Chicago, where they have been tanning premium leathers since 1905.

We love building products a lot more than repairing them! That’s why we design and build them to last. We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the item.
