A 30 day vegetable tannage is followed by conditioning with tallow, lanolin, and beeswax. The resulting leather is supple, strong, and very dense. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe horsehide is incredibly durable with an amazing sheen and smell.  The hides are pit-tanned like Shell Cordovan but not quite as long.  We used Shell Cordovan to enhance the appearance and strengthen in handles, loops and accent pieces. The Top-Zip Backpack is our exclusive design with an easy-access zipper flap that opens extra-wide. This version uses two very cool Italian made locking clasps.  Simply roll the brass wheel and the clasp is locked for extra-security. The inside has multiple pockets and padded back snap panel to accommodate up to a 15\" laptop.
